Inauguration set for Wednesday

00_icon_agendaGov. Nikki Haley will be inaugurated for the second time at 11 a.m. Wednesday on the steps of the Statehouse. Earlier at 9 a.m., she will participate in a prayer service at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Columbia. After the ceremony, the First Family will hold an open house at 2 p.m., followed by a gala at 7:30 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

Also next week in Columbia:

Transportation. The Transportation Infrastructure and Management Ad-Hoc Committee will meet 1 p.m. Jan. 12 in 521 Blatt. At the time of publication, the agenda had no items on it.

Legislative session opens. The S.C. House of Representatives and S.C. Senate open the 2015 session at noon Jan. 13 at the Statehouse in their respective chambers.

Judiciary. A Senate Judiciary subcommittee will meet at 2 p.m. Jan. 13 or 30 minutes after adjournment in 105 Gressette to discuss ethics legislation. Another subcommittee will meet about the same time in 308 Gressette to discuss criminal domestic violence legislation.

Ethics. The House Ethics Committee will meet 10:30 a.m. Jan. 13 in 511 Blatt to discuss rules and go into executive session to get legal advice. Agenda

LCI: The House Labor, Commerce and Industry Committee will meet 1 p.m. Jan. 14 in 403 Blatt to review rules and subcommittee assignments.
