Print Friendly, PDF & Email

00_icon_agendaThere will be more than a dozen meetings next week by subcommittees of the House Ways and Means Committee as they continue early work on the 2016-17 budget. Also on tap: An Agriculture subcommittee will consider a bill on regulations of dams. See the House calendar for next week.

In the Senate, the top bill up for consideration on special order is a House bill (H 3579)that relates to increased funding for transportation infrastructure. Not only does it call for reshaping the state Department of Transportation as a cabinet agency, but it would raise a tax on gasoline to fund roads. See the Senate calendar for next week.

Also next week:

There also will be a conversation on self-sufficiency — a new way to think about what families need to survive — at 4:30 p.m., Jan. 20, at the Palmetto Club.
  • Conversation with the Conservationists, 10 a.m. Jan. 20, Gressette 105
