LETTER: Mixed emotions about animal cruelty case

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

To the editor:

00_icon_feedbackI have followed the story of University of South Carolina Trustee Charles Williams [of Orangeburg] with a mixture of emotions:

  • Anger, that any human being could treat a living creature with such abject cruelty;
  • Elation that we have a judge willing to give  justice to the rich and powerful; and
  • Amazement that he is still on the board of USC.

Mr. Williams should be removed from this position.  He represents all that is wrong with people who feel entitled to break the rules of a civilized society. I hope someone will find out who put him on the board and how do the citizens of this state and graduates of the university hasten his removal?
