Pug Ravenel’s 1974 campaign is remembered as remarkable to many because of his new ways of using television to connect with voters.
The good folks at the South Carolina Political Collections at the University of South Carolina found some of the old ads, now preserved and made available at in a great political resource at Oklahoma University’s Julian P. Kantor Commercial Archive. The collection reportedly is the largest political commercial archive in the world.
